Ana Uya
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” - Carl Rogers
I place my journey in service of your process
I also needed to reconnect with my essential self, and in that personal search, I learned through various practices and training how to cultivate presence and deep listening.
Gestalt Therapy gave my professional path greater support and depth, and I was able to see for myself that it is possible to live with more well-being, rest, and vitality.

The name Ana Uya comes from my own name, Ana, combined with “Uya,” inspired by the river from my homeland and the nature with which I have a deep connection. In my sessions, I bring this perspective of interconnection, which runs through all of my work.
Your circumstances can change when you change your perspective on yourself and on life.

My approach to support you
Here and now
I work from a humanistic and transpersonal perspective, focused on the present as the starting point of the therapeutic process.
Awareness and self-regulation
I support processes to develop greater awareness and personal resources that you can integrate and carry into your daily life.
Sacred biology
This approach integrates Gestalt Therapy within a context of experiential ecopsychology, in connection with nature, and from a gentle perspective.
Body and expression
I incorporate breathwork and conscious movement as paths to therapeutic well-being, also integrating the voice to foster presence and communication.
Training and clinical background
I am trained in Gestalt Therapy (AETG) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, with a background in veterinary medicine and dance, and a long career in research and teaching.
Background and practice
I have over three decades of experience in scientific, academic, and healthcare fields, alongside a continuous practice of meditation and personal development.
